Inauguration of dialysis center at Bangar Hospital in Sarpol-e Zahab, Iran

Dialysis center in Sarpol-e Zahab town in Kermanshah Province, Iran, was officially inaugurated on 10th January 2018, with presence of representative from The Minister of Health, the governor of Kermanshah Province and the head of the Kermanshah Medical Sciences University.
In the aftermath of 7.3 Richter magnitude earthquake, on 12th November 2017, in Kermanshah province, many medical centers in this province were destroyed or heavily damaged.
In this natural disaster, Sarpol-e Zahab town in Kermanshah Province suffered the most damages and casualties, which was also extended to Sarpol-e Zahab local hospital.
SALAM medical services group, in collaboration with Kermanshah Medical Sciences University, Aria Teb Firouz Knowledge Based Company (ATF Co.) and several Iranian charities conducted an emergency local survey, and in a very short time, set-up a dialysis clinic in this earthquake stricken town. This dialysis clinic was set-up in a containerized facility, and it is equipped with, eight/8 ATF-1022 hemodialysis machines, eight/8 dialysis beds, reverse osmosis/RO water purification system.
With continues, day and night, selfless efforts, this dialysis clinic was set-up in less than three weeks, and after technical and operational training of medical and nursing staff from Sarpol-e Zahab local hospital, first group of patients were admitted on 7th January 2018 for dialysis treatment in this clinic.
